Our parish family continues to offer daily Mass livestream for the sick, infirm, and homebound members. The scheduling and cueing of livestream are one of the weekly liturgical ministry assignments. Volunteers are needed. Recently, replacement cameras (an iPad mini) were purchased - awaiting shipment of a modified stand - to provide streamlined stability and a place to stow equipment for wireless broadcasting while keeping the camera at the center aisle second pew. Parishioners appreciate the camera's location. Some feel like they are sitting in a pew and not seeing Mass from a suspended birds eye view. Others enjoy seeing the sanctuary and number boards following along with the service music in their missalette at home.
After consultation with the pastoral council, the livestream ministry will continue with the priest praying the prayer of Spiritual Communion when the Communion Rite begins. Please remember that it is ideal to attend Mass in person if you are able, as there is no substitute for receiving the Eucharist. The Eucharist is our source and summit and the Catholic Church’s superfood

BoxCast is live streaming software we have been using since March 2020. It's flexible platform works for broadcasting live video from an iOS device. This resource provides flexibility in our broadcasting needs and is cost-efficient. The monthly cost of the BoxCast platform is $100, which includes 90 days of data storage to view after the live broadcast. With the BoxCast App, you can share streams and connect with viewers wherever they are watching, including BoxCast TV, AppleTV, ROKU, fireTV and Chromecast. After adding the app to your device, use the keyword Boniface or Meinrad to locate and add the parish's livestream channel.
