New After-Hours Phone Number Available

In an effort to provide the best response to after-hour emergencies, such as impending deaths and emergency infant baptisms, a new after-hours phone number is now available.

If you require a priest due to severe illness or death at any time, call 812-357-6600. The number will ring at the parish office. When the office is closed, the number will ring at the Archabbey Switchboard or the office of Archabbey Security. This number will be made available to hospital chaplains, long-term care centers, and hospice personnel so they can reach the parish at any time.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a sacramental emergency (someone who is in imminent danger of dying and wishes to receive the sacraments), please call the after-hours number. Be prepared to leave a message with the attendant, including your name, location and contact information. Father Anthony or the priest on call will respond as soon as possible.
