August 27, 2021Our parish family welcomes Father Simon Njuguna Waweru of The Augustinians of the Assumption (Assumptionists) for our annual Mission Sunday Appeal. Father Simon will celebrate and preach Masses on September 4 and 5, making the archdiocesan annual missionary appeal to support the work of the Assumptionists.
By our baptism, we are all called to be disciples and evangelists. Each year at this time, we are reminded that, through our prayerful support and financial resources, we can make sure the message of Jesus Christ is carried to nations filled with conflict. Through your help, the peace of Christ and the mystery of faith the Church professes can be transmitted beyond the comfort of our little piece of the world. Financial gifts to The Assumptionists may be placed in the weekly stewardship collection through the end of September.
An envelope for My Gift to Support Sunday’s Mission Priest is included in the September envelope packet, as a lavender envelope. Please make sure your check is made payable to the parish church, clearly marking in the memo Mission Priest (4032.400).
