Praying for Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria
My brothers and sisters in Christ, all -
With our hearts shaken by the images of destruction and unbearable pain in eastern Turkey and northern Syria, please join me in praying for the victims, their families and all those affected by the recent earthquake. May God grant the victims patience in this time of distress and help families be reunited. Let us pray that victims and volunteers do not come under any illnesses in response to this disaster. We mourn the death and destruction, praying for all who have died and those who grieve. May their souls be embraced by our Lord in heaven. Lord, we pray that all may find the face, hands and heart of your Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the generosity received through their brothers and sisters from throughout the world in food, shelter, clothing and medical attention needed to restore their hope through the faith and love received.
