Raffle tickets for St. Boniface annual summer picnic are now available
We hope to have the raffle tickets out to you soon for the St. Boniface Church Summer Picnic. New this year, to comply with Indiana charity gaming rules: Everyone who works in a gaming stand and would like to purchase raffle tickets (Grand Raffle, Half Pot, Special Quilt, Quilt Wheel, Themed Baskets, Bingo, Showdown Poker and Gaming Finance) will need to purchase your Grand Raffle, Special Quilt and Half Pot tickets before the day of picnic.
All gaming workers will not be able to turn in raffle tickets the day of the picnic. You may turn in your raffle tickets on Saturday, July 20, or Saturday, August 3, from 8 a.m. to noon at the St. Boniface Parish Center.
Please return completed tickets and donations to raffle stands on picnic day. Must be 18 years old to enter. Need not be present to win. Cash prizes mailed within 10 business days. Please contact Karen Kern at 812-549-6333 to pick up a yard sign to help advertise for the St. Boniface Parish Summer Picnic. Please make sure to get permission to put the signs in yards and along the road by businesses. Put signs out by the July 4th weekend.
St. Boniface Summer Picnic Workers Lists will be available
The workers signup list for the summer picnic will be available in churches on the weekend of July 6 and 7, 2024. Lists are available at all courtesy tables, at all entrances. (posted July 1, 2024)
St. Boniface Parish Quilt Show July 21, 2024
In anticipation of the St. Boniface Parish Annual Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 4, 2024, the parish will host its annual quilt show Sunday, July 21. The show will be at the Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda from 9 to 11 a.m. Central Time.
Parishioners, friends and neighbors are encouraged to stop by the parish church to vote for the parishioners’ choice quilts to be featured in the special quilt raffle for this year’s picnic. In anticipation of the St. Boniface Parish Annual Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 4, 2024, a parish workday is set for Saturday, July 20, at 7 a.m. at the parish. Parishioners are needed to help with indoor and outdoor projects. Please bring cleaning supplies, buckets and ladders. Create a theme basket for the Summer Picnic Raffle
In anticipation of the St. Boniface Parish Annual Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 4, 2024, parishioners, friends and neighbors are encouraged to create a basket to be raffled on picnic day. Making a basket is as simple as choosing a theme, finding interesting items that fit the theme, and placing them in a basket or, better yet, a themed container to raffle as a single item.
Theme basket ideas are: Movie Night, Gardening, Baking, Getting Pampered, Car Care, Kids’ Activities or Games, Back to School, etc.
Sample baskets and a sign-up sheet are at the courtesy table in the church’s northwest corner. Please turn in your basket by July 20 in the back of church. For more information or to register your theme idea, contact Drew or Ashley Schroer at 812-608-1826.Items needed for Kountry Kitchen
These items are needed for the Kountry Kitchen stand on picnic day: breads, rolls, pies, cobblers, cookies, 8” x 8” cakes, jellies, jams, plants and fresh produce. Be mindful of the heat, and do not bring any iced items or anything that cannot withstand the heat. We ask that every family donate an item to the Kountry Kitchen. Organ Concert and Tours
An organ concert by Nolan Snyder, graduate of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, will be held on Sunday, August 4, at noon in Historic St. Boniface Church. Guided tours of the church will be offered at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.Family Fun Center
The Family Fun Center will have free, fun activities for the family and kids throughout the day of picnic, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Summer Picnic Set Up Begins Saturday at 7 a.m.
St. Boniface Parish Summer Picnic Set Up is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024, beginning at 7 a.m. at the parish center. St. Boniface Parish Summer Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT. A reminder to all summer picnic patrons: the picnic will conclude with drawings for the theme baskets and raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are available from any St. Boniface parishioner and at raffle stands on picnic day.
