FULDA, IN - The annual Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church Summer Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 4, beginning at 10 a.m. CDT, with prayer followed by local Honor Guard and National Anthem on the church grounds at Fulda.
Entertainment and games, including Bingo, throughout the parish grounds. And for the family, a complimentary Family Fun Center with games and activities for all ages.
To be raffled, handmade quilts from parishioners and local artisans, and themed gift baskets featuring local goods, artisan work, and gear for your favorite sport teams.
Country Kitchen featuring local homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, cobblers, breads, and jams. Quilts may be purchased out-right for $450 before 10 a.m. at the quilt stand.
Live music by
Sweetwater Band, guided tours of the historic church, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Organ recital at 11 a.m. featuring the 1898 Pipe Organ, built by Edmund Giesecke of Evansville, Indiana, featuring an oak console with 10 ranks, 535 pipes, 2 manuals with 58 keys, and pedals with 25 keys. Following the recital, a tour of the historic church will begin at noon. The day will conclude with raffles for themed baskets, two handmade quilts, and the “SaintSational” Cash Raffle with $5,000 value in prizes, beginning at 3 p.m.
Fulda’s famous soup will be sold by the bowl or bulk at the shelter house, containers available upon request.
The food court will serve famous soup, fried chicken, grilled tenderloins, hamburgers, and drinks. Hand-dipped ice cream and homemade desserts available.
Dine-in, carryout, and to-go fried chicken and roast beef dinners with all the trimmings, along with homemade desserts.
Available: shuttle service, hospitality center with guest drop-off and pick-up location, handicap parking located on the north side of the parish church, shaded seating on the grounds, and air-conditioned dining.
