St. Boniface Parish in Fulda and St. Meinrad Parish in St. Meinrad will hold cemetery prayer services on Saturday, Octoner 24, 2020. The prayer service at St. Meinrad Parish Cemetery will begin at 9 a.m. The service will start at 3 p.m. at St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual All Saints soup and salad supper bereavement social has been canceled for this year. At each service, parishioners, friends and neighbors who have lost loved ones are invited to meet at the cemetery crucifix for the service. Afterward, the clergy members will visit individual gravesites for those families who wish to participate.
Families who have lost a loved one during the past year will receive a commemorative candle. To take part, attend the prayer service at the cemetery where the burial took place. In case of inclement weather, the prayer service will be held in the parish church.
St. Boniface Parish and St. Meinrad Parish will continue to follow local public health department regulations and CDC guidelines for the health and safety of parishioners and guest.
The Mass schedule for All Saints Day on Sunday, November 1, is 6 a.m. at Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church and at 8:30 a.m. at St. Meinrad Catholic Church, with an anticipated vigil Mass on Saturday, October 31, at 4 p.m. at St. Boniface.
