50 states, 50 Hail Mary’s: Parishes will pray patriotic rosary on June 27

Two Spencer County parishes, St. Boniface Parish in Fulda and St. Meinrad Parish in St. Meinrad, will honor America’s independence by praying the patriotic rosary on Sunday, June 27, 2021, beginning at 6:15 p.m., at Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church, Fulda.

The patriotic rosary is a parish-wide prayer service dedicating one Hail Mary in the traditional Catholic rosary to each state of the United States, asking God’s protection and guidance for the nation. The rosary includes prayers for all religious and government leaders and the citizens of each state.

The United States will celebrate its 245th year of independence from Great Britain on Sunday, July 4.
