Copies of the 2023 Catholic Extension calendar are now available at several locations. The calendar, called “Feasts and Saints,” is an artistic celebration of our Catholic feasts, Holy Days, and the saints who are part of our Catholic heritage. These classical works of art help keep the Catholic Church’s liturgical year front of mind and provide twelve months of inspiration.
The calendar sponsors for this year are the family of Lee and Dorothy (Waninger) Schaefer of St. Boniface Parish. The couple was married on June 23, 1956, in Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church. This year’s calendar is in memory of Dorothy May (Waninger) Schaefer (August 18, 1932-October 5, 2019) and in honor of Lee Louis Schaefer.
Free calendars can be picked up at these locations: Monte Cassino Shrine and at all courtesy tables, at all entrances to St. Meinrad Catholic Church in St. Meinrad and Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda.
Catholic Extension connects poor and remote Catholic communities with essential financial support, educational partnerships, and infrastructure. The only producer of Catholic calendars that gives 100% of proceeds to fund grants that benefit poor mission dioceses where faith is thriving, but the resources are scarce.
Calendars arrived late Thursday afternoon, January 12, and will be in churches by 4 p.m. Saturday. Due to insufficient address information when the shipping label was created, no street address listed, 2023 calendar shipment was delayed. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience in receiving this year’s calendar.
For more information contact, Ms. Tina Boehm, Finance and Resource Coordinator, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at tinab@myparishfamily.church or 812-357-6050.
